First off, let me start off by saying Happy New Year.
Now, let’s get to the nitty gritty of this: Do yourself a favor and do not go out tonight and chase the night like a typical pick up artist.
Here’s what they would do: he’ll line up all his buddies to get ready for the night, he’ll put on one of his suits, some variation of Ed Hardy, some type of plumage on the shirt, some jean that has way too much stitching on the pocket, and he’ll go out for the night . . . OK, you know who you are right now and you’re laughing. Just because you saw some guy on YouTube wearing the same type of clothes, you think, “Yeah, that’s how I got to look!”
Sure. If you’re going for the look that says you’re a spokesperson at the mall for a bad clothing store, absolutely.
So there you are, you’ve got your PUA clothes on, and what do you do? You think to yourself, It’s New Year’s Eve, I’ve got to make this an unbelievable night. This is going to be a night that’s just going to go down in history. I’m going to go find some babe to make out with at midnight. Then I’m going to get laid and go out with a bang into the New Year. It’s going to be awesome!
So you start texting all your friends, you line up all the parties you know of, all the bars you’re going to go to, and you plan out exactly where you’re going to be that night, because you know that this is going to be a great night.
Alright, ready for reality?
All this is is another Saturday night. You’re going out with same social skills that you had all year long. The same social skills you’ve always had will follow you into this night, whether you’ve dressed as an Ed Hardy wannabe or not.
The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter what you do tonight. The only thing that actually matters is what you’re going to do–starting tomorrow–to change your life and your success with women. If what you’ve been doing up until now has not been working for you, if it’s not yielding you the phone numbers you want, or if you’ve been getting phone numbers but you keep getting blown off over and over again, it’s time that reality set in.
So why don’t you look at this New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as a reality check. Are you actually getting the results that you need? If the answer is no, what do you need to do to change that? Things don’t just change in life because the clock strikes midnight and the calendar goes from 2011 to 2012.
Nothing changes just because time passes. One of my favorite things in the world is when someone decides to move. They’ll call you and say, “I need to move. It’s just not working for me in this city at all.”
Well great, then you can go and take the not-working-in-this-city attitude with you to the next city. No matter where you move or what city you decide to live in, you’re always bringing yourself with you wherever you go.
So instead of chasing the night in your tacky PUA wannabe outfit tonight, why don’t you reflect on the year and why don’t you just go out and have fun and not worry about women for a change? And think to yourself, what can I do right now in order to make my life better next year? And what do I need to do every single day to make that happen?
Because if you think just by having some silly New Year’s resolution that suddenly things are going to change, they’re not. Things will not change just because you have a New Year’s resolution. Pretty soon, it’s going to be January, February, March, and things will be exactly the same.
